How to save data usage on iOS device?

Here are 4 key ways to save data usage on your iOS device:

 

Enable Low Data Mode

 

Apple iPhone and iPad devices running iOS 13 and later versions can enable Low Data Mode to limit and save cellular data.

Follow these steps to get started, and please keep in mind that your carrier may have different Low Data Mode settings.

  1. GO to Settings and TAP on Cellular or Mobile Data.
  2. TAP on your preferred SIM.
  3. TAP on Data Mode.
  4. ENABLE Low Data Mode.

 

Restrict background app refresh

Disable background app refresh for apps that don't need to constantly update in the background.

  1. GO to Settings and TAP on General.
  2. TAP on your Background App Refresh.
  3. Turn it off for selected apps

 

Disable cellular data for certain apps

Check your iPhone's cellular data usage in Settings to identify high data consuming apps and make adjustments.
